Critical Commentary

This press release on the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commision's (PUC) website announces the public hearings for PECO's proposed rate increase. It also details what the impact of the rate increase would mean for PECO customers: The rate changes proposed by PECO would produce an overall revenue increase of approximately $246 million (7%) for electric distribution services. Under this proposal the average monthly electric bill for a residential customer using 700 kWh per month would increase from $100.29 to $109.97 (9.65%).
