The most common response was “I don’t know; this is the first time I am hearing about energy co-ops”, with 33 individuals selecting this option, followed by “I don’t know what an energy co-op is; I don’t think there is an energy co-op in my area”, with 25 individuals selecting this option. Ten individuals selected “Yes, there is an energy co-op in my area; I am not a member”, nine individuals selected “No, there is not an energy co-op in my area”, and six individuals selected “I know what energy co-ops are; I don’t know of any in my area”. Zero individuals selected “Yes, there is an energy co-op in my area; I am a member”. It’s important to note that some individuals selected multiple options in their response.
