Critical Commentary

With Isaias reaping havoc in the Northeast, many would have expected utilities to better respond to the storm that caused thousands of households to be left without power. While Eversource representatives said their response was prompt and relative to the emergency level that had been declared, others suggest lacking storm-preparedness leaders could be the culprit of the negligent response. That said, we should continue to think about the customers who have yet to have their power restored. Spatial and grid vulnerabilities are at play here and they should be more deeply analyzed.
