This chart reflects responses to Question #26 from the Spring 2020 and Winter 2020 and Question #23a from the Spring 2021 survey which asked respondents “If yes to Q26*** Did you have these technologies before COVID-19 or did you have to purchase or borrow them?” The available options were.
Yes, we had everything we needed.
No, some of these technologies needed to be purchased.
No, we have borrowed some of these technologies.
186 respondents answered this question.
Eighty respondents (43%) reported that they had the technologies they needed
Forty-five respondents (24.2%) had to purchase technology.
Fifty-six respondents (30.1%) had to borrow technology.
Two respondents (1.1%) were unable to acquire the technology needed.
Seven respondents (3.8%) answered “other.”
The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey, which has been administered to 234 people over two time periods. The Spring 2020 survey was administered to 86 people between May and June, and the Winter 2020 survey was administered to 83 people between December 2020 and March 2021 The Spring 2021 survey was administered to 65 people between March 2021 and June 2021.
