This chart reflects responses to Question #10 from the Spring 2021 survey which asks respondents “How did you learn about home energy systems?” This was an open ended question and all sixty-five respondents answered
Twenty-six respondents (40%) answered that they learned through NEC workshops or at the ECA.
Eight respondents (12.3%) answered they learned through their employment.
Seven respondents (10.8%) answered they learned through friends, family, or acquaintances.
Two respondents (3.1%) answered they learned through NCBW 100.
One respondent (1.5%) answered they always knew.
Two respondents (3.1%) answered they learned through life experience.
Four respondents (6.2%) answered they learned through PECO.
Three respondents (4.6%) answered “other.”
Five respondents (7.7%) answered they learned through being a homeowner.
Four respondents (6.2%) answered they learned through brochures or literature.
One respondent (1.5%) answered they learned through the Philadelphia Housing Corporation.
One respondent (1.5%) answered they learned through green jobs initiatives.
One respondent (1.5%) learned through TV commercials and going to appliance stores
The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey - Overview, which was administered to 65 people over a fourteen week period between March 2021 and July 2021.
