The chart reflects responses to Question #53 from the Spring 2020 survey, which stated, “I'm going to read a list of race and ethnic identities, please tell me which best describe(s) you? Check all that apply.” The available options were:
An identity not listed
Asian
Black or African American
Hispanic, Latino, or Spanish origins
Middle Easterner or North African
Native Hawiian or Other Pacific Islander
Prefer not to say
White
Eighty-six people responded to this question. Two people stated that their identities were not listed and one person preferred not to say. Twenty-one respondents identified as Asian, seven respondents identified as Black or African American, two respondents identified as Middle Eastern or Northern African, two people identified as Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander, and fifty-three respondents identified as white. Five respondents selected multiple identity categories. Three respondents identified as Hispanic, Latino, or Spanish origins.
The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey - Overview, which was administered to 86 people over a six week period in May-June 2020.
