This chart reflects responses to Question #44 from the Spring and Winter 2020 surveys, which asked respondents “Have you ever enrolled in an energy assistance program to help with utility bill payment?” The pre-structured options were, “Yes, I have before COVID-19”; “Yes, I have since COVID-19 began”; “No I have not”; “I was unaware of such programs”; “I don’t know”; and “NA.”
One-hundred and sixty-seven respondents answered this question. Forty-four respondents (26.3%) reported enrolling in an energy assistance program before COVID-19. Nineteen respondents (11.4%) reported having enrolled in an energy assistance program since COVID-19 began. One-hundred and four respondents (62.3%) reported having never enrolled in an energy assistance program. Two respondents (1.2%) reported they did not know. Ten respondents (6%) reported not being familiar with such energy assistance programs. One respondent (0.6) reported N/A.
