Critical Commentary

This chart reflects responses to Question #5 from the Winter 2020 survey which asked: “Have you been able to continue living at home during COVID19 or have you needed to stay someplace else?” The structured responses for this questions are listed below:

  • Yes, I have been able to continue living in my pre-COVID-19 home.

  • No, I have been forced to live elsewhere during COVID-19.

  • No, I have chosen to live elsewhere during COVID-19.

  • I am a college student who had to leave on-campus housing.

  • I have been going back and forth between places

  • Other, please explain

A total of 83 respondents answered this question. Data collected are presented below: 

  • 75 respondents were able to continue living in their pre-COVID-19 homes

  • 5 respondents had to relocate during COVID-19

  • 2 respondents relocated during COVID-19 but it was unrelated to the pandemic

  • 1 respondents occasionally move between places


The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey - Overview, which was administered to 83 people over a fourteen week period between December 2020 and March 2021.
