Critical Commentary

This chart reflects responses to Question #35 from the Spring 2020 survey, which asked, “Are you the recipient of a government stimulus check?” The options available are “No”, “Yes, I have received my check”, “Yes, but I have not received my check”, and “I don’t know”. There were eighty-four respondents and each respondent chose one option.

  • Forty-one respondents (48.8%) said “no”.

  • Twenty-nine respondents (34.9%) said “yes, they have received their check”.

  • Five respondents (6%) said “yes, but they have not received their check”.

  • Four respondents (4.8%) simply said “yes”, one of which indicated they had received the Australian equivalent.

  • Five respondents (6%) did not know.

The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey - Overview, which was administered to 86 people over a six week period in May-June 2020.
