Critical Commentary

This article talks about Massachusetts' SMART green program is meant to provide solar to communities, even though many say its most recent modifications would exclude many. Others say this new modification is meant to protect the green industry investments and the solar installments would benefit bigger pockets than the communities themselves. The account narrated in this newspaper can also be thought of in terms of greening capitalism from Dr. Powell (2018)'s account, as well as through the lenses of transition scholarship where specific communities tend to be left behind by moves to renewables.
