Critical Commentary
This image artifact talks about the underrepresentation of women in the energy sector all over the world, especially in Africa despite the fact that women together with children make up a great percentage of vulnerable groups that suffer health implications due to the continued use of traditional biomass energy sources. It also adds that initiatives taken to mitigate this issue have only made impact on a small scale. This artifact highlights an aspect where designed energy policies must improve to ensure energy literacy and energy access especially to vulnerable groups.
