Of the 169 respondents who answered this question, the following was collected:
102 respondents used gas as their heating source
31 respondents used electric as their heating source
7 respondents used oil as their heating source
12 used gas and electric as their heating source
1 respondent use hydro power
1 respondent was unsure on whether their system uses gas or electric
1 respondent mentioned using wood and torch
1 respondent noted that there are so many other alternatives to heat your home as opposed to cooling it
1 respondent used gas and oil as their fuel sources
13 respondents admitted they didn’t know what fuel source they used
The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey, which has been administered to 169 people over two time periods. The Spring 2020 survey was administered to 86 people between May and June, and the Winter 2020 survey was administered to 83 people between December 2020 and March 2021.
