Critical Commentary

This chart reflects responses to Question #4a from both the Spring 2020 and Winter 2020 surveys which asked: “What is your relationship to the individuals that you lived with e.g. your children, parents, romantic partners, roommates)?”

A total of 149 respondents answered this question. The following was collected:

  • 24 respondents live alone

  • 86 respondents live with relatives (parents/grandparents/spouses) 

  • 14 respondents live with friends or roommates 

  • 14 respondents live with one dependent; 

  • 9 respondents live with two dependents; 

  • 2 respondents live with three dependents. 

The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey, which has been administered to 169 people over two time periods. The Spring 2020 survey was administered to 86 people between May and June, and the Winter 2020 survey was administered to 83 people between December 2020 and March 2021.
