The chart reflects responses to Question #46 from the Spring 2020 survey, which asked, “I'm going to read a list of gender identities and you tell me “I'm going to read a list of gender identities and you tell me which best apply(ies) to you. Feel free to select multiple answers.” The structured responses were:

Eighty-five respondents answered this question. Twenty-nine respondents (34.1%) identified as female and eight identified as female, cisgender (9.4%). Twenty-six respondents (30.6%) identified as male, and twenty respondents (23.5%) identified as male, cisgender. One respondent (1.2%) identified as cisgender and another respondent (1.2%) preferred not to say.
The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey - Overview, which was administered to 86 people over a six week period in May-June 2020.
