What is your occupation? (Q7 S + W 2020)

This chart reflects answers collected from Question #7 from the Spring 2020 and Winter 2020 survey, which asked: “What is your occupation?” There were no structured answers. 

A total of 143 people answered this question, from which the following was collected:

• 5 participants held administrative positions

• 13 participants worked for the service industry

• 21 participants worked in sales or management

• 2 participants worked in accounting

• 15 participants were educators or worked in some capacity with the school district

• 6 participants were family service representatives

• 5 participants worked for the medical field in some capacity

• 5 participants were self-employed as ride-sharing drivers

• 3 as uber drivers

• 2 as consultants

• 6 participants were retired

• 9 participants indicated they were on disability

• 2 participants were case managers

• 1 participant worked in a financial aid office

• 1 participant worked for Homeland Security

• 1 participant worked in the manufacturing industry

• 1 participant worked as an interpreter

• 1 participant worked at a library

• 1 participant worked in business

• 1 participant worked in the HVAC industry

• 13 participants were students

• 2 respondents indicated they were underemployed

• 31 participants indicated they were currently unemployed

The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey, which has been administered to 169 people over two time periods. The Spring 2020 survey was administered to 86 people between May and June, and the Winter 2020 survey was administered to 83 people between December 2020 and March 2021.
