Critical Commentary
This chart reflects question 3 from the Spring 2020 and Winter 2020 survey and question 1 from the Spring 2020 survey. The two questions are asked slightly differently, with the first two versions asking about housing arrangement before COVID and the Spring 2021 asking about current housing arrangement. 233 respondents answered this question.
120 respondents (51.5%) lived in a house that they own.
52 respondents (22.3%) rented an apartment.
37 respondents (15.9%) rented a house.
4 respondents (1.7%) rented a room.
14 respondents (6%) lived with a family member or friend.
4 respondents (1.7%) lived in a dorm.
1 respondent (0.4%) resided in a priest residence.
1 respondent (0.4%) lived in a home their father purchased for them.
The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey, which has been administered to 234 people over two time periods. The Spring 2020 survey was administered to 86 people between May and June, and the Winter 2020 survey was administered to 83 people between December 2020 and March 2021 The Spring 2021 survey was administered to 65 people between March 2021 and June 2021.
