The chart here reflects answers collected from question #14 of the Winter 2020 survey, which asked: “What is the power source for your home heating system?" The structured answered prepared by the research group follow: 

  • Gas

  • Electric

  • Oil

  • I don’t know

  • Other, please explain:

Of the 83 respondents who answered this question, the following was collected: 

  • 61 respondents used gas as their fuel source;

  • 9 respondents used electric as their fuel source; 

  • 4 respondents used oil as their fuel source;

  • 5 respondents used gas and electric as their fuel sources;

  • 1 respondent used gas and oil as their fuel sources;

  • 3 respondents admitted they didn’t know what fuel source they used.

The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey - Overview, which was administered to 83 people over a fourteen-week period between December 2020 and March 2021.
