The chart here reflects answers collected from question #11a of the Spring2020 and Winter2020 survey, which asked: “If yes to Q11, How many total hours per week are the students in your household doing school remotely?”
Of the 86 respondents who answered this question, the following was collected:
21 respondents said children schooled remotely a total of between 0-10 hours weekly
19 respondents said children schooled remotely a total of between 11-20 hours weekly
10 respondents said children schooled remotely a total of between 21-30 hours weekly
9 respondents said children schooled remotely a total of between 31-40 hours weekly
10 respondents said children schooled remotely a total of between ≥41 hours weekly
16 respondents said children schooled remotely a total of between ≥60 hours weekly
4 respondents citing cumulative household hours exceeding the 100 hours mark
1 respondent said they were unsure how long their children schooled remotely
The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey, which has been administered to 169 people over two time periods. The Spring 2020 survey was administered to 86 people between May and June, and the Winter 2020 survey was administered to 83 people between December 2020 and March 2021.
