Critical Commentary

This chart reflects answers collected from Question #6 from both the Spring 2020 and Winter 2020 surveys, which asked: “Has the number of people living with you changed since COVID19 began?” The structured responses were: 

  • No, I am living with the same number of people.

  • Yes, I am living with more people.

  • Yes, I am living with fewer people.

  • Yes, It is an evolving situation

A total of 169 respondents answered this question. The following was collected: 

  • 115 respondents continued living with the same number of people

  • 29 respondents lived with more people since COVID-19 began

  • 23 respondents lived with less people since COVID-19 began

  • 3 respondents said it was an evolving situation

The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey, which has been administered to 169 people over two time periods. The Spring 2020 survey was administered to 86 people between May and June, and the Winter 2020 survey was administered to 83 people between December 2020 and March 2021.
