Critical Commentary

This chart shows the results of Question #6, which asked: “Has the number of people living with you changed since COVID19 began?” The options provided in the question were:

  1. No, I am living with the same number of people.
  2. Yes, I am living with more people.
  3. Yes, I am living with fewer people.
  4. Yes, It is an evolving situation.

Out of 86 responses, the majority of respondents (54) said their situation remained unchanged. Twenty-nine respondents recorded living with different people since the pandemic began, whether this was fewer people (14) or more people (15). One respondents noted changes in the people, but not in the number of fellow occupants. A minority of the respondents (3 people) noted their living situations were still evolving because of the pandemic. Some of this is reflective of the number of students surveyed, as they were the respondents who experienced the most housing changes.

The data was produced by the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 Survey - Overview, which was administered to 86 people over a six week period in May-June 2020. Visit the Shifting Energy Demands in COVID-19 - Survey Results page to view more data from our survey. The project is approved by Drexel’s IRB.
