This essay serves as an overview of the work that has been done to investigate student experiences of energy vulnerability. Most of it has come out of the UK, but offers a good framework to think about the issue in the US. This fits within the scope of The Energy Vulnerability Project as a possible area of investigation currently understudied in the US. EVP could use this information to develop and conduct a survey of college students.
