Critical Commentary

This article published on a Georgia Institute of Technology webpage tracks the journey of a student-led organization called the Atalanta Youth Energy Corps (AYEC, now the MAYE Corps - Metro Atlanta Youth Energy Corpshttps://mayecorps.weebly.com/about.html) who participated in the Georgia Institute of Technology Carbon Reduction Challenge.

What makes this organization unique is the student-led stimulus it has in identifying energy inequity in Atlanta and implementing energy efficiency programs (such as home retrofitting) to address it. They also lay special impetus on youth leadership and racial and social justice.
