Critical Commentary

This is a collection of articles on the impacts of the storm Isaias that ravaged the East Coast last week. Coverage ranges from reports in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, with details on rooftops being blown away and the extent of outages experienced. When reading the articles, one should consider the implications of a changing climate, rising global temperatures, and the increased vulnerabilities of communities like the ones hardly hit by the storm. Another vulnerability to consider also is the vulnerability to older housing stock and its intersection with spatial vulnerability in tropical events like Isaias.
