Critical Commentary
This chart reflects results from Question 24 on the Spring 2020 survey, which asks “Has your home ever been weatherized through the state weatherization program (WAP)?” This was a check-all-that-apply question, and there were 83 responses. The options for this question were as follows:
“Yes, it has been weatherized through WAP
No, my home is not weatherized
No, but I have weatherized my own home
I don’t know what weatherization is
I don’t know what WAP is
Other
The most common response was “I don’t know what weatherization is'', with 30 individuals selecting this option, followed by “No, my home is not weatherized”, with 27 individuals selecting this option. Twenty-five individuals selected “I don’t know what WAP is”, and 13 individuals selected “No, but I have weatherized my own home”. Nine individuals selected the “other” option, and specified that they don’t know if their home has been weatherized, or that they don’t know if it was weatherized through WAP. Zero individuals selected “Yes, it has been weatherized through WAP”. It’s important to note that some individuals selected multiple options within the same response.
